Proceeds to support the services provided by Family Service of the Piedmont
Family Service of the Piedmont is a private nonprofit agency with a mission to empower individuals and families to restore hope, achieve stability and thrive through quality support services, advocacy and education.
Each year, the agency reaches more than 20,000 people through its programs and community education. Last year, we directly served 17,300 local children and adults, addressing issues of domestic violence, child abuse, mental health and financial wellbeing.
The agency operates two fully accredited Children’s Advocacy Centers which coordinate the investigation and treatment of child sexual abuse. Last year our CAC’s served 885 children, conducting 504 forensic interviews. That’s about 10 cases of potential child abuse investigated each week.
Additionally, Family Service offers a variety of programs and services to assist families in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. We strive to do all we can to help build safe and healthy families. Click here to make a donation.
